Profitable company can go bankrupt

A profitable company can go bankrupt if cash flow is not properly managed. Many entrepreneurs and small business people have a difficult time differentiating between cash flow and profit. When you first begin working on a business plan, you typically think in terms of profit. Sales minus expenses = Profit.

Here is how a profitable company can go bankrupt. You do not spend profits. You spend cash. A company is cash poor when it does not have any cash. Let us say Profit is income minus expenses at a certain point in time. Cash is ready money. Cash flow looks at the time at which the movement of the money takes place. Inventory, property, and most importantly accounts receivable are not considered cash. If they were a demand for cash or capital, these items had to be converted into cash or collateral otherwise the company would go bankrupt.

Reward yourself

Most people work better with deadlines and goals. If your projects do not, already have these built in - or if the end is too far away - set yourself a target.

When you reach that target, give yourself a reward. It does not have to be a big reward (although it could be if the goal was big enough) but it definitely has to be a reward of some sort. You will know what incentives you so feel free to choose something that fits that.

They will always criticize you!

Some people such as our boss, parents, or peers believe that the way to influence people is through fear and intimidation. No matter how hard you work there will always be people who will criticize you. It is as though by making you feel bad somehow they feel better about themselves. After awhile the weight of their negativity starts to take a toll and impacts the attitudes and energy of those around. There is little doubt that punishment can be very effective. And although punishment may manipulate someone to behave in a certain manner, it is not terribly motivating.  In the short term this can be an effective approach. However, in the long term it will begin to loose its' appeal.

Effective leaders know they must empower others and encourage them to take risks. By positively motivating each individual, you create a more loyal and energized following. In this way, the benefits for rewarding people for doing something well will far outlast the fear and punishment that too many people employ.

People thrive on positive reinforcement and may not realize how this negativity impacts their work or relationships. We get so caught up in pleasing others and not screwing up that we are not focusing on what needs to get done.

If we praise and reward one another for being innovative and taking risks, it will make a dramatic shift in how we do business.

Have you ever noticed that sometimes you need full concentration to do certain tasks?

Sometimes you need all of your attention to make sure that job or task is done correctly, yet for some reason you can not. Most of the time we have so much on our mind that we do not know how to stop thinking about one thing to focus on the next thing. As a result we just get sluggish and do it as best as we can, but not how we really want to do it. This is becoming more and more noticeable in home base business.

You may be wondering how do we deal with such a predicament? How do we work and have full concentration on whatever it is we need to accomplish?

I am going to teach you the  "Why" that you  can use to improve your concentration:

Why are you doing it? Is this task for your business? Why must you concentrate? You must have a strong reason as to why you are doing the task

Answer the above questions to enable you to understand the purpose behind your task. An example of this would be checking your email daily. You tells yourself, “I must check my email account every day.” Ask yourself, “Why must I check my email account everyday?” Response, “So my clients and business associates will know I care about their activities. That will make me more money.” So here we just clarified why you must check my email account  daily, so you can make more money.

We all like more money!
