Arthur Ashes’ words of wisdom gains extra significance when I am having fun just playing tennis while others are motivating and inspiring me to exceed my limits. One day, my coach mentioned to me that it is not always easy learning new skills but the gained knowledge will move me into the future. This statement struck me like a bubble gum on a chair. With a smile on my face, I change my stance and shuffle my feet in the hot Georgia sun and begun creating my future.
Some people forget about the here and now and only want to win the match. However, there are riches gained by showing other how to enjoy the game. I just want to enjoy the game of business. I enjoy talking to prospects, closing, and am willing to taking responsibility for my own choices. Even if it means I will not win my prize. Sometimes I think the herd do not know what new business ownwers are going through. New owners know about life, education, self-management, racial prejudice, and having goals, they just lack the experience. Experience is only gained by playing the game.
Success is important! You may not have much business skills now, but take the little you have, apply hard work, and become great. You can break records with the knowledge you have gained from accomplishing goals.
Then give value to the life of another through mentoring while they unknowingly give the same too. Remember the struggles, the feeling of worth, and joy you felt learning a skill. When the herd says to you, you do not know anything or understand what they are going through, you will smile. Because they will help you to remember, how tough it is to learn a skill. So just set another goal and start creating a new exciting future.

| The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes. Thank you for choosing to embrace the day and drop on us.

It amazes me the number of times that I have recently been told by business people facing falling sales that they were cutting their marketing efforts. Be different! Anytime we react, we make matters worse. Therein lies the key to being the change that you want to see in your life. The normal business person constantly and automatically reacts to what is going on around them, believing themselves to be the victim of circumstance. No! They are the victim of their own feeble minds, minds that research has proven to be out of control, running under the command of an autopilot that is looking out the back window and never actually sees what's really happening as it happens! Take action. Don't react the way normal business owners do. When facing falling sales increase your marketing efforts and increase your sales.
